20 Cubs together with 3 Scouts, 1 Explorer and 6 Leaders went for a week to Cubjam, which was held at Gilwell Park, and a great week it was, too! Cubjam is a jamboree type camp organised every four years especially for Cubs. There were Cub packs from all over the country and one contingent had even come all the way from Guernsey for the week. These are just some of the photos.
We went to Walton Firs for the weekend of 13th – 15th June and were joined by some of our friends from 1st Billingshurst. Camp took place on the national Giant Sleepover weekend and so we were part of the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for ‘the biggest simultaneous sleepover’ overnight on Saturday 14 June 2008.

The organisers of the Giant Sleepover have now confirmed that the number of people having a sleepover on the evening of 14 June set a new world record.
We decided to remember our founder – Robert Baden-Powell who had his birthday close to this weekend. In practice this meant that we did the usual range of traditional activities including tracking, orienteering and archery. We also included time on the infamous Walton Firs adventure course.
