We are sorry to report that Tom Agar, a former Cub and helper (Hathi) in the group lost his battle with cancer and died on 14 November 2010, aged 26. Like so many, he worked his way through the sections and having left Ventures, became a helper with Cubs. He was diagnosed in 2008 but managed to visit us at our 50th anniversary camp in summer 2010. Our thoughts are with his parents, Ann and Richard who have also been long-time supporters of 2nd Bracknell and of course his brother Andrew who was also a 2nd Bracknell member.
You can see Tom getting funky round the camp fire at the Cubs summer camp in 2010
on kitchen duty at summer camp 2004
and in a group photo at the district Cub camp in 2003
and keeping us entertained on a wet evening at Cubs Summer camp in 2005 with his trademark “black magic” game.
If you were a Cub in 2nd Bracknell we’d be delighted to hear from you and find out what you are doing now.
Tom received excellent care from Thames Hospicecare and his family are now supporting them by organising some fund raising events. We hope that you will support them too.
