Charity Walk in memory of Bill Kemp
On 1st November Jason Dale (VAN MAN), Denise Hyman (ROBIN), Neil Obler (FALCON) along with their children are taking part in a charity 10k walk in order to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Action.
We are doing this walk in Memory of Van Man’s Father/ Margaret Kemp’s husband BILL ‘Willie’ KEMP who sadly passed away recently.
Bill as many of you know was a devoted family man and involved in scouting in Bracknell as well as in Scotland, he started his career from a very early age and leaves a legacy behind him.
If anyone would like to join us in our fundraising please visit:

Sophie’s Stars Broadgate Stair Climb
Sophie’s stars had a great day starting with a stroll to find the tower before heading off for a light breakfast together, then before we knew it, it was time to do our warm up training with toucan training then off we went up the tower, after 15 minutes we were standing on the roof of the tower looking out across London, whilst admiring our medals as well as the view,
a lift was provided to get back down the tower so other participants could carry on with their climb, once we had collected our belongings we headed for our complimentary pasta lunch and hot drink courtesy of chef Gino D’ Campo.
Next stop was to find a nice pub for a celebratory team drink before heading back to the train station to get home so we could continue the celebrations with team drinks, nibbles and board games. Click pictures to enlarge
Sophie’s Stars Charity Challenge 2015
From Denise Hyman (Robin – 2nd Bracknell Bisons)
On February 28th 2015 myself and a few others will be taking part in a fund-raising challenge to help raise funds for The Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospice which is a charity that cares for babies, children and young people with life limiting conditions and not expected to reach their 19th birthday.
The charity supports the families from diagnosis to end of life throughout bereavement providing nursing, practical, emotional and medical care, Shooting Star Chase is a charity very close to my heart as they provided care and support when they looked after my niece at the end of her very short life.
The challenge we are taking on is The Broadgate Tower stair climb in London - this will see us climb 877 steps over 35 floors soaring over 540ft of the London skyline.
If anyone would either care to join us in our challenge or sponsor us it would be greatly appreciated not just by our team (Sophie’s Stars) but also by the charity itself and the families it supports.
Donations can be made to our fundraising page: www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/sophiesstars3
Many Thanks for your support.
